The socio-economic characteristics of these indigenous communities could be gleaned from the characteristics of their barangays which substantially lack basic socio-economic facilities. Thus, the allocation of these services must be given special attention. The need for advocacy and to address specific issues with regard to these indigenous communities should also be addressed by putting specific personnel in-charge, especially under the scope of general social welfare services.
