REGULAR PROGRAMMES


Police Visibility

Police visibility patrols, as the backbone to crime prevention and detection nationwide, are continuously and aggressively initiated. Efforts are also exerted to lessen or minimise the occurrence of crime particularly in the crime prone areas. Visibility programmes entail the conduct of massive mobile or foot patrol.

Rescue 166

The station maintains one Reaction 166s Digitel Telephone line to accommodate distress and crime reporting calls. Four Digitel Telephone lines in different COPS/Police Community Precincts are likewise operational. Due to dependable communication facilities, the average response time is pegged at an average of 20 minutes for one-kilometre distance.

Campaign Against Drug Trafficking and Illegal Drugs

The station has organised the 59 barangays for the City of San Jose del Monte Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), 1,900 members of Mamamayan Ayaw sa Droga (MAD), 850 members in 26 Batches of KAPANALIG and 1,700 Bantay Bayan members to combat drug trafficking at the community level.

In the effort to minimise, if not totally eradicate the problem of illegal drugs in the City, a total of 72 raids/buy bust operations were conducted in 2000 resulting to the arrest of 91 suspected pushers/users and the confiscation of 18,068 grams of shabu with a street value of P 20,696. A total of 72 cases were filed in court.

Campaign Against Carnapping

Seven cases of carnapping incidents were recorded in 2000, all of them were filed in court.

Campaign Against Gambling

In the effort to clear the image of government from illegal gambling activities particularly "Jueteng", the City of San Jose del Monte has focused against the eradication all "Jueteng" operators within its jurisdiction.

Campaign Against Prostitution/Child Abuse

A single case was recorded in 2000 and this had been filed in court.

Campaign Against Cattle Rustling

Ten cases of cattle rustling have been filed in court.


SPECIAL OPERATIONS


Search and Rescue Operations

In 2000, the station utilised 324 man-hours of search and rescue operations during calamities. These were done in co-ordination with some elements and head offices of different agencies of the local government.

Disaster and Relief Operations

The station conducts disaster and relief operations in support to the City Disaster Co-ordinating Council and City Social Welfare and Development Office during typhoons and floods.

VIP Security

The police force of the City of San Jose del Monte provides route/ mobile and security to VIP and dignitaries in their visits to the City.

Traffic Management

Daily traffic management along major thoroughfares in the City is being conducted by the station.

Investigation

The station oversees the investigation of cases filed.

Intelligence

The station receives information on criminal activities particularly on drug addiction and illegal gambling. A total of 91 suspected pusher/users were arrested and 47 persons were apprehended in illegal gambling operations due to accurate intelligence reports.

Police Community Relation

Police community relation basically deals with programmes on public information, police community inter-relation, community organisation and mobilisation, and women's and children's desk.
